No Man’s Sky quickly became a landmark release not just for games development, but for the games industry as whole – celebrated and scrutinised in equal measure. Hello Games’ unprecedented vision of over 18,446,744,073,709,551,616 (18 quintillion) procedurally planets was presented in beautiful, pastel surrealism and captured the imagination of the world. We couldn’t be more proud to have supported the launch, with a limited edition of 2120 media kit for Sony Computer Interactive Entertainment.
To capture the feeling of No Man’s Sky near infinite universe the slipcase, book cover and and foldout art print were a set of 3 variables, giving a large number of permutations for the distribution to recipients. The pages were aged by design, whilst the book covers were also hand distressed – to mimic a well read novel, whilst the kit’s also featured numbered editioning and personalisation – via a lenticular foiled sticker that sealed the slipcase.
