Cliche as it may be, we have a special place in our heart for people who don’t pay much attention to rules and convention. This is particularly true for the companies we meet and work with. For this reason, our ears were well perked when Playstack began to convey their vision of re-inventing publishing and taking a collaboration first approach to their developer relationships.
From our first meeting, Playstack and Fluid found we had something in common with our perpetual desire to throw out the rule books. Two virgin Mojitos later, and we began to formulate the building blocks for what would become Playstack’s visual identity.
The inspiration was all about collecting stacks of great ideas. Playstack wanted to show their commitment to this in a cohesive and consistent way throughout their branding. We developed a visual route, which combined pastel colours and stacked lines that denote the approachable and collective nature of Playstack’s vision.
From this pivotal idea, we created the full identity for Playstack from their logo, website, right through to their business cards. We are exciting to see how Playstack can change the landscape of games publishing and are proud to have helped them find their voice.
