INNOVATIVE PACKAGING FOR GENRE DEFYING TECHNOLOGY
Few developments in the entertainment world have inspired as much intrigue, debate and excitement as virtual reality. Playstation VR is perhaps the most hotly coveted of all iterations of the VR peripheral.
As a followup to the PSVR launch kits that Fluid created, this kit required us to inform recipients about the product's success thus far, a remodelled headset and accessories alongside delivery of 6 software titles for review. Our solution had to be clearly PlayStation related, visually striking and differentiate itself from the original kit. The final kit was presented inside a premium styled presentation box across 2 Editions, with independent numbered editioning - our modular creative allowing the Standard Edition content to be integrated within the more grandiose VIP Edition. A key aspect was having the outer elements hardware orientated, whilst the inner was localised to 7 languages and delivered a wider gamut of marketing information including software DLC.
We created an aesthetic for the kit that would allow us to present existing product and lifestyle imagery - that had seen widespread usage since the PSVR launch - in a fresh and on-brand manner, utilising PlayStation blues.
